The main conventions of this DVD cover are a main image of the artist on the front, the name of the artist in big writing, a bar code on the back, the parental advisory logo and the songs numbered in chronological order.
The colour scheme for this cover is black red and white. As the background is plain black this makes Justin and the songs stand out as there is a big contrast between the black and white. The colours used are very masculine however Justin doesn’t really have a masculine singing voice so he could have used these colours to show he can also be masculine. The red strip near the bottom of the cover links to his song lovestoned in the video consisted of continuous lines like that, by doing this he has added a theme from his video also the audience can link to it.
There is only on image on the whole cover, this shows that the DVD’s all about Justin and for the fact he is like glowing emphasises it even more, however as the albums got ‘future’ in the title he is maybe trying to make it look futuristic to match with his music, also as it is him performing live the image of him is like an action shot of him performing.
